September 6, 2019. In a recent news release, a new grant from the Cambia Health Foundation and The John A. Hartford Foundation was announced to partner with seven national organizations working to improve care for older adults and other people facing serious illness and the end of life by coordinating communications to reshape public attitude toward palliative care, advance care planning, and hospice. One of the key goals of this three-year project is to create a message platform for national organizations and other key stakeholders that will help build public and health care provider understanding of serious illness and end-of-life care needs of more people. The Coalition is a proud partner in this initiative:
Amy Melnick, Coalition Executive Director, says, “Working with partners and other national stakeholders is critical to getting our message right so that more people will have access to palliative care when they need it”. To learn more, read HERE.
